The Oase Clear Water Guarantee
THE CLEAR WATER SYSTEM is comprised of 3 elements – filter, UVC and pump.
THE RIGHT COMBINATION of products based on the size of your pond and fish load will result in crystal clear water.
ANY SIZE POND can have a Clear Water System. New construction or retrofitted to an existing pond.
4 Steps to a Clear Water Guarantee
-
Determine your pond volume:
-
Determine the fish load:
-
Choose the correct filter system:
-
Install and maintain the filter system:
For circular ponds: Pond volume (gallons) = diameter (ft.) x diameter (ft.) x depth (ft.) x 5.9
For rectangular ponds: Pond volume (gallons) = length (ft.) x width (ft.) x depth (ft.) x 7.5
The more fish in the pond, the higher the nutrient load and the larger the filter system should be.
LIGHT – Ponds with plants and few or no fish
MEDIUM – Ponds with plants and with 10 in. of fish per 100 gallons of water or less
HEAVY – Ponds with plants and with koi or 20+ in. of fish per 100 gallons of water
Use the filter system charts to determine the appropriate filter system for your pond.
Install the CWG products per installation instructions. Clean the filter as needed and replace the UVC bulb annually. The Oase Clear Water Guarantee is your assurance of clear water down to three feet, a guarantee like no other. Precisely engineered and matched components function in concert to remove not only suspended solids for excellent clarity, but toxic wastes as well, assuring high water quality. Pumps designed to pass solids pick up and deliver fish waste to multistage filters. Filter foams of varying densities strip out solids and particulates. Beneficial bacterial colonies remove ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, eliminating nutrients in the water. Finally, water is bathed in ultraviolet light in an EPA-certified clarifier to further inhibit the growth of green water algae.
